Discussion “Fake News – a Smouldering Threat”
A large public discussion organised by the BCME, in collaboration with the Chancery of the President of Latvia and the research centre SKDS, highlighted that there was widespread overestimation of the degree of media literacy skills and ability to detect fake news stories held by people in Latvia, and was attended by 400 participants.
