Public Discussion: “Comprehensive Approach and Advancement of Media and Information Literacy in Moldova”, 17 November 2021
Media and Information literacy is becoming an ever-increasing topic among policymakers, the international donor community and various organisations implementing projects. As in many countries, efforts to improve media and information literacy among the society come from government, non-governmental and international organisations. However, these efforts usually are sporadic and not coordinated between the parties involved.
The event outlines and discussess key findings from the research report undertaken by the Moldovan Independent Journalism Centre in cooperation with the Baltic Centre for Media Exellence. Furthermore, by engaging with key local and international stakeholders, the event’s focus is on improving the coordination of media and information literacy initiatives in Moldova and improving media and information literacy in the Moldovan education system.
