Our work

Coordinated and meaningful donor interventions are essential for strengthening quality and professional journalism in the Eastern Partnership countries, where independent media outlets face severe institutional, financial and professional challenges. BCME publishes the monthly bulletin Funds4Media since 2018 to provide journalists and other media professionals in Eastern Partnership countries with essential information on funding and professional development opportunities. Since 2017 the Gap-Asset Analysis report, alongside policy recommendations, offers guidance to media donors and media developers who promote professional journalism in the region. BCME is facilitating donor coordination, media developer networks and offers other initiatives to strengthen independent media in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
