Are you 18-23 years old, living in Latvia, Lithuania, or Estonia, and passionate about creating impactful social media content?
Join our Media Hackathon (Mediathon) — a one-day event, offering you a unique opportunity to unleash your creativity, sharpen your critical thinking, and learn how to craft engaging, scroll-stopping social media content!
We're looking for talented young people like you to collaborate with top media professionals, compete for exciting prizes, and connect with like-minded peers from across the Baltics.
What Is the Mediathon?
The Mediathon is a one-day event in Riga where teams of young people come together to create engaging, impactful social media content ideas that are impossible to scroll past.
Your content should focus on topics that matter to you and your peers — subjects that grab attention, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire action. Possible themes include, but are not limited to:
The goal of the Mediathon is to develop a concept for eye-catching, shareable content that highlights media literacy elements — critical thinking, fact-checking, myth debunking, and exposing disinformation. At the same time, it must resonate with young audiences and inspire action.
We’ve got you covered! If you’re selected, we’ll pay for your travel to Riga so you can fully focus on this exciting opportunity to make an impact.
